9 Michigan health rankings: Which counties are best or worst for smoking, teen births, injury deaths?

The University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation disclosed in their health ranking report that Genesee is supposed to inhabit most physically inactive populations, Muskegon County is considered to be highest teen birth rate county and Washtenaw County has very low ratio of smokers.

The No.1 County in the Michigan state is Ottawa County in terms of good health outcomes. Besides Leelanau is standing on No.2, Clinton is standing on No.3, Livingston is on No. 4 and Houghton is on No.5. The worst counties are Calhoun, Arenac, Alcona, Wayne and Genesee. Besides, there was no data available to determine the rank of Keweenaw County.

Last but not the least the ranks are based on the data gathered from various State-owned institutions like National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion and National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention.
