Once you have kids, doing things for yourself kind of goes out the window. A lot of times that can include exercise or working out. Besides not having the time, a lot of things about your body has changed. For example, your bladder may not be as strong as it was so all those jumping exercises that you did before is probably not a good idea. Your skin may be stretchier or looser than it used to be which makes high impact exercise very difficult to keep up with. You may be getting frustrated because you were not seeing the results of weight loss like you want. Well, maybe it’s time to try something a little different. The PiYo program is a series of workout sessions that incorporates pilates and yoga but you but you do not have to have experience in either of those areas for it to work.   1. No Weights
    PiYo focuses its movements entirely around using your natural body weight. There is an option to use free weights like three or five pound dumbbells if you feel like you want to challenge yourself some more after you’ve been doing it for awhile but it’s no a necessity. You need nothing more than a laptop or computer, water, a yoga mat and a little space to complete a work out.

  2. No Jumping or Running
    One of the best things about this work out regime is that it does not require you to have to jump around or run like most of the other types of workouts. The fluid and quick movements of the conjoined methods of pilates and yoga will definitely have you breaking a sweat but you don’t have to worry about your body jiggling in the wrong places or your bladder deciding it’s been bounced one to many times.

  3. No Gym
    These workouts can be completed in your own home, on your own time. Just pop in the DVD and you’re good to go. You might be the kind of person that can get up before your kids do and get it done then, or you might have to wait til nap time. If your kids are older, they might enjoy doing the workout with you. Whenever you decide to do it, you don’t have to worry about gym fees, child care costs or finding a babysitter, time management, other people, space availability or anything other stresses that going to gym brings up. You simply set up when you can, where you can.

You’ll never be able to lose weight and tone up if you don’t eat right. You can work out all day long but if you’re having fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you aren’t going to see the results that you want. The PiYo diet plan is broken down into five major food groups. These are:
